Android devices require a different solution. SmartSystems Console is a free offering. Advanced functionality is available if a SmartSystems Management license is loaded on the managed devices. The license also enables automated software distribution of OS updates to a group of devices as well as running reporting services.
Mobile Computers require a SmartSystems 4. X reference client to be resident on the device. The SmartSystems installation guide will provide instruction needed for a successful install. There is not a separate user manual for SmartSystems Foundation. For detailed information on how to access and use all of the capabilities of SmartSystems Foundation, use the built-in 'Help' menu item. Search methods are also modeled after standard Windows Help utilities.

The device can be connected to the Smartsystems server though Mobile Device Center using the communication dock or through a wireless connection. To transfer a license to a device drag and drop the selected license from the license vault to the device listed in the device discovery list.
If the unit is back from repair, a license can be dragged and drop on the unit, even for a license that has a count of zero, if the serial number is part of the list of serial numbers that the license has been assigned to.
File 1. File 2. File 3. Licenses can also be pushed onto devices A pulled or pushed license can be revoked using SmartSystems console as long as the device is reachable.
If a device is removed from the network and has a pull or push license, the license can not be revoked as SmartSystems console only allows a revoke for connected devices.
An exported license can not be revoked or re-assigned, it is paired to the unique device. The licenses could be returned. Contact Support for help with that. After revokation the License Vault will show that the Management license has been removed from the device. No more SmartSystems Management license listed. The expiration-counter of the license is activated when the device boots for the first time. After 60 days a full license can be purchased in addition. Note : CN50 with Firmware 2.
