There are 4 modes in which you can play giving you more than just a linear go through of the game. It's alot like Astroids but with a modern touch to it. The music is awesome and the bright colors going every which way iluminate your television screen. Especially in HD. As for the game itself, it's kind of tough. I had a pretty hard time trying to stay alive amidst all the chaotic things going on around the screen, but I'm sure a few more go throughs would make anyone more aware of it's crazy but simple gameplay.
But the gameplay of the game is what makes sense here. You are this creature who can only jump to move and uses it's tongue to lick things up and spit them out or use it as a kind of grappling hook. The main goal of the game is to lick up these "grubs" and feed them to another creature on the bottom of the screen before he leaves the screen. It's kind of hard to explain but I was surprised how original and fun this game really is. It's just Texas Hold Em' Poker.
You can play against the computer or against others on XBL. I did find playing on XBL was kind of slow having to wait on all the players to call and bet.
But if you don't mind that, then this is a good one to play. I played it once and the game seems too complecated to be fun. When i think of XBL arcade games, I think of fun, addicting, relaxing, and social games. This game makes me feel like I have to research things to figure out how to do anything in the game. Maybe I should try it again with a more open mind but sometimes a bad first impression of a game is enough to make me not want to play it again. But i guess all games aren't for everyone.
I knew of it but never have I played. The game actually tells you how to play and it makes sense. So thanks to this game, I now know how to play. It's a very simple game, you can just sit back and relax and play against a computer or someone via XBL.
It was a short leap of faith to conclude this was a retail collection of Xbox Live Arcade games so that those without Internet connections could enjoy the service's offerings.
